Luis Garban of Venezuela has released heaps of records these past couple years for labels such as Ad Noiseam, Peace-off, Intellectual Violence, Mirex, Cock Rock Disco & Wrong Music, but for Terminal Dusk he reveals his passion for dubstep. ‘Down To The Wire’ contains high energy levels, sick low bass and brilliantly selected reggae samples. This album is executed perfectly and includes remixes from two fellow dubstep heads: Atki2 & Starkey.
Side A kicks off with ‘Maybe Next Time’ dropping the warbly and brutal bass and some hot B-boy samples. Give in to the head nod effect. Next up is ‘Keep On Truckin’ with a wall of low end synth leads & Bollywood style atmospheres. Rounding off the A side is ‘Knock Yuh Out’ and it’s a badman, turning up the energy.
Flip for the B side and ‘Everything Is A New Surprise’ kicks in with an ultra disgusting bassline & pitched up bongos, massive! Next are the remixes, Starkey starts it off with his remix of ‘Knock Yuh Out’ which takes the original to another level, slows it down a bit, and offers some proper dubstep swagger. Atki2 finishes the record with his rendition of ‘Keep On Truckin’, bringing the Bristol styles, a classic remix.
